Creating a Quiz Link

To create a quiz link you need to have finished building a quiz, visit the Building a New Quiz page to learn more about that.

When you have your quiz created and are ready to send it out you need to navigate to the tests page on class marker by selecting the test button from the main menu.

From the test menu you need to find the quiz you want to make the link for and click on it to open a drop down menu. The select the Assign option.

From this page you want to select the create new link button.

This page contains all the settings for the quiz. The default options should be saved already, however here is a description of the settings and what their value should be set to.

Link Name: This is the name of the link. This does not effect the url of the link.

Availability: This is the current state of the test, this should be set to available.

Attempts: This is the number of times a user can attempt the quiz. It should be set to 1.

Restrictions: This allows you to set a password or have a list of approved test takers. By default this should be set to no.

 Price: This allows you to levy a charge on quiz takers, this should be set to no charge.

User Info: This is the information that the quiz taker must provide before attempting the quiz. Should be set to First and Last name and Email.

Custom Info: This is similar to User Info but the fields can be customized. This should be left as off.

Instructions: This is if the quiz instructions should be shown. This should be set to yes.

Time Limit: The time limit on the quiz, should be set to 30 min.

Save Results: This is if the results are saved in ClassMarker. It should be set to yes.

Resume Later: This is if the user can resume the quiz if they leave before completion. Should be set to no.

Theme: The style of the quiz, should use the Solü theme.

Display: This is how many questions are shown per page. Default is 1.

Randomize: This is if the question order is randomized. Should be set to yes.

Answers: This sets the details of the answers. Should be mandatory and allowed to be changed.

Results Page: This is what is shown on the results page. Default: Score, Feedback, Questions, Category results

Pass Mark & Feedback: This is the total grade required to pass the quiz and if question feed back is show, The passing grade is 75 and should show feed back.

Return Link: This is a link provided to the quiz taker after the test. Should be set to no.

Certificate: This is if a certificate is given at the end of the quiz. Should be set to no.

Email Results: This is what information is sent in the email results. Email should include Score, and all answered questions

Printing: This is if the results page can be printed. Should be set to no.

After you finish entering the details you click the assign link button and then to get the link select the email link to test taker option and copy the link.
